Lavender and herb bed.

"There's flowers for you;
Hot lavender, mints, savory, marjoram;
The marigold, that goes to bed wi' the sun,
And with him rises weeping; thes are flower
Of middle summer, and I thek they are given
To men of middle age." William Shakespeare The Winter's Tale

I thought that I'd do something fragrant with my garden bed ; something perennial that the bunnies wouldn't eat. So I have some lavender, sage, rosemary and thyme. I'm planning to get more lavender, different varieties from Cape Cod Lavender Farm.
Evidently there are hundreds of varieties of lavender and the color, height and fragrance all vary.
