Sunshine & Shadows

Despite being off work with a poorly child today, it was a productive day all in all.

Managed to get a load of housework done, did an early midweek shop and planned SW friendly meals for the next few days (chilli tonight and BBQ Pulled Pork tomorrow).

The weather was stunning with clear blue skies and lots of sunshine (although it was bitterly cold) but as we were stuck indoors we made do with DVDs, snuggles on the sofa and got the candles lit. Managed to capture this pic as the sun was streaming in through the windows just after lunch.

Alex is now feeling much better, aided somewhat by the arrival of her biggest (in height) brother today, so it's back to school for her tomorrow. Lots to look forward over the next few days - spending time with my firstborn, breakfast and a bracing walk on Thursday and a relaxing spa weekend and gala dinner (with a little bit of training too) courtesy of Partylite.
