Self Perception

She works on "market row"; she is reluctant to be photographed but occasionally she relents if I promise to bring her prints.  Today I dropped off four prints and after each one she exclaimed "muy feo" meaning "very ugly!"  I protested vigorously saying I don't see her that way at all!  She was not about to change her mind.  The self perceptions of poverty.
