June Bug Time

It looks like another bug blip :) This is one of our June Bugs. To me when the June bugs start showing up which is around June/July, you know your in the middle of summer. When my sisters and I were growing up, one of the things we did in summer was to catch June bugs. They are a large beetle and it did give me the heebie jeebies to feel them crawling around in my hand sometimes.

They are a member of the scarab beetle family. Can be 1/2 inch or longer. Hope you've enjoyed the bug lesson for today :D

ps. I do believe this was the most humid day we've had today.
