In The Occupied Territory

W is for Whisky in the Jar...

...and in the bottle and the glass.
This is the 4th from last of the Alpha Ponty challenge, and the picture is just a small section of the whisky store/ tasting room of the Aberdeen Malmaison Hotel.
It is a really brilliant looking building inside, reminding one of some New York establishment, by reputation, the restaurant is horrendously expensive for the decidedly average quality of the food, and the service is supposed to be no great shake either.
I have never eaten there, and have no intention of either, unless some-one else pays, of course. I don't mind paying over the odds for a great meal, but only if it is really special.
Some years ago I took June to Jamie Oliver's "15" resaurant in Londinium, and it was not easy on the pocket, but it was worth every last shekel, as the food, service and atmosphere was second to none; and totally unpretentious.
As for the Malmaison, I believe that in French it means Bad House, or close enough to it Maybe the chain owners have a sense of humour.
Coming up in the next 3 weeks, Alpha Ponty X, Y and Z in photographs and in song titles. I know what I intend doing, but any guesses?
