Half Hidden Hoverfly.................

...................................under a petal of this poppy. Todays blip was going to be a rather gorgeous poppy but then I found this little fly partially hidden under one of the petals. Should I? - shouldn't I? The markings on it were quite pretty so here is the little fly.

They are good to have in the garden as they consume aphids.


I quite like large when you can see the powdery pollen
