Emergency DIY tonight!!!

Recent high winds and rain caused the slates in my bottom vent in my larder to virtually crumble to nothing.

So for the last couple of weeks it has been like having a huge open hole in the wall.

Every time I opened the larder door, it was like opening a walk in freezer.

There was also a shocking breeze blowing out the bottom of the door.

Tonight I decided I could take it no more.

I covered the vent with a double layer of thick card and sealed in with Gaffa tape.

In less than an hour, I can feel an increase of temperature in the kitchen and a huge difference round my feet and ankles.

Random DIY makes me happy, especially when it works.
