Morning commute

Always find it quite fascinating how other people pass the time on their morning commute. Some scan the pages of a free newspaper. There's the occasional book reader (proper book, as opposed to the e-book, of which there are the odd one or two) But the majority are transfixed by their smartphones. Given that most of the commute is underground and deprived of internet access. I do wonder what it is they can't take their eyes off.
