Mother Glasgow watches o'er her weans...

A fantastic civic reception and awards ceremony at the City Chambers in Glasgow, to celebrate the wonderful Police Scotland Youth Volunteers, of which we are proud partners.

Such a joy to meet the young volunteers and hear their stories. Especially after the nerves about collecting their awards onstage had gone and they were in full celebration mode. Their pride - and that of their parents, carers, families and support workers - was just bursting out of every pore.

Loved this wee quartet - which includes a young Syrian refugee who arrived several months ago. The work he is doing as part of his new community - and what he is doing to welcome young Syrians who have come to Scotland more recently - left me humbled and in awe.
