We mistakenly thought that being higher up would give us amazing views of the Shard's inauguration laser show, but as this photo shows, it was a bit of a letdown. From the photos in the newspapers, and the Shard's own PR machine, you needed to be on the ground, right under it. Oh well, we had a fun evening at our work summer party (in the garden as the weather managed to stay dry - yay!) and adventure in the office.
