Cold composting

The frost on the lid of our compost bin was just too photogenic to miss.  It was so cold this morning that in order to get the warmth back into my fingers after cycling to work I went into the washroom and put my hands underneath the hand drier.  The warm air did the trick.

My fingers were so cold (even with gloves on) that it felt like they were about to go into cramp.
