A Really Useful Day

A walk was planned but we first needed a brief visit to a specialist store so I put on my walking boots before we left the house, to save fiddling with laces in the car.

So Mr Flum made his purchase at the store, we continued via the biscuit factory shop, which had very little to offer, towards our destination. And on the way stopped off at the Gyle Centre for Mr Flum to buy the trousers the other branches of M&S didn't have and afterwards went upstairs for lunch before continuing towards our destination. But we missed the turn, and the alternative was closed off. So we took the next road, which was a dead-end, and the next again, which took us to the north side of the airport; by then it was pouring with rain so sat in the car and watched a big Quatar Airways plane take off and one or two regular flights arrive and carried on, passing this nice big puddle with reflections and trees so Mr Flum stopped for me to take a photo, leaning out of the car window. We reached the main road and considered heading off west but the one-way system sent us too far towards town to make it worthwhile so we didn't bother and came home, the pretty way.

And I took my boots off.
