Smallford Railway Station

I've blipped a number of times before about the history of the old railway line that is now the Alban Way. On my run this morning I noticed for the first time that the old station building at Smallford was on view, having previously been hidden behind corrugated iron. Most of the platform was cleared of weeds and emerged from beneath the undergrowth a number of months ago. Perhaps this piece of history is also about to be restored - the building doesn't look in too bad a state. Here's a photo of it from 1967.
