Snoozing in the sun!

After a very wet morning the skies cleared and the sun came out .... great to see after so many grey days.

After visiting a friend in the morning I took a quick visit to the loch ..... the sun might have been shining but it was incredibly windy. The gulls were finding take off a little tricky. Many of the ducks choose to snooze among the stones at the far side of the loch but today there was an unexpected guest sharing the stones. I have never seen a female Goosander having a snooze before. I was only able to take one shot before she quickly took to the water.
