A Cow Called Daisy

The German for "the cow" is the very straightforward "die Kuh" (and "the bull" is "der Stier") - yet another reminder of some of the Germanic origins of the English language.

Had my annual review at work today and as in previous years, I just have to keep building on what I've done to date and get more involved in a few projects that are coming up.  It's all good.

Even better is the fact that it's the weekend.  We shall ignore the fact that we have Eisregen (freezing rain) forecast for tonight.  Shutters down and heating on.
