Hasty blip

You may think that I have taken up bowls, but this is not the case. There is an explanation! We (that is the Village Hall Committee) have decided to try to get indoor bowls going in our Village Hall. Bowls is really popular around here and there are various leagues to join if competition is needed. So this afternoon two of us were despatched to a neighbouring village who have a thriving club to find out 'what was what'. We were made to feel very welcome and encourage to join in (politely refused- they looked a bit good) and have a cuppa and promised help and advice to started.

Just one point, we had omitted to measure the hall before going and had no idea if the mats would fit in........................so tomorrow we are going with a tape measure......................!!!
