Cairngorm Plateau

The weather was not quite as good as the forecast sunshine and inversion, but it was a splendid day. We decided to walk up Fiacaill Coire Cas and along the northern corries to Cairn Lochan and then descend to the north and back to the car park. It was intermittently misty, but most of the time we had a view. On the way to the plateau we started talking to the photographer / guidebook writer Keith Fergus. He must be a fit soul as he had a large tripod and made excellent time. We posed for him on the plateau and had a good chat. The main blip is looking south towards Derry Cairngorm and the extras are a panorama of Coire an Sneachda and the cornices on Cairn Lochan. There was lots of unconsolidated snow, but we had a great day.
