Old Pioneer day charm

Today I discovered the Yandina Hotel, built in 1887 back in the days of the Australian gold rush. Its really nicely restored.

Days gone by it was the watering hole for thirsty gold miners travelling between Gympie and Brisbane with there find.

There's humour in its history, the man who built it (God test his soul) built it not only in the wrong spot but also the wrong street...

So several years after it was built, the owner hitched up to a team of bullocks and moved it on skids to where it lives today.
