Wide open road

Out with the CTC today. I was told it would be flat so 54 miles would be a doddle. emmmmm. It was not flat and there was a head wind  a lot of the time, so it was not easy.  The Fens looked lovely in the morning haze and the sun came out to brighten us all up.  New cafe (to me) was ok too!  

I liked this picture as it shows you the flatness of the Fen  countryside. Luckily we have this on one side of us, and the more often ridden west and north of the city giving us Leicestershire, Rutland and Northamptonshire.
