A Day to Remember

The great blizzard of 2016 is still underway (as of 5:30 PM eastern) and has dumped 2 feet so far and another 1/2 foot is expected over the next six hours.  I don't mind snow, but this is just too much and with the winds, it is not very enjoyable.  

We spent hours clearing the snow today and although tired and achy, we are grateful for the snowblower and that we still have electricity.  

While I was out in the yard today, I periodically sprinkled bird seed on the pine tree branches and on the ground.  At points, we had over a 100 birds around the feeder and trees.  

BTW - this Northern Cardinal looks like he is enjoying this snow as much as I am...
