Sneak Peak of New Pad

Very productive couple of hours after work today: left office at 6pm, home for 6:20, removal firm arrived 6:35 to quote, quick shifty at our furniture and the happy news that despite having loads more stuff, they'll charge the same as they did last time. Result. 6:50pm scooted down to Al Wasl for attempt number 2 to get our DEWA switched on (electricity & water). Success. Will be on within 24 hrs. Lesson learned from mistake made in our first apartment in Dubai = quick trip to new pad to ensure all taps are switched off and plug holes are clear!

Now just need to co-ordinate the new 'move in/move out' rules in the Greens of booking the elevator in both the old and new tower, for the removals firm. What a joke.
