Wembley Sports

This is a British-made Bakelite camera launched by Truvox in 1950. The lens can screw back inside the camera, and has 4 click stops for focussing at 4, 6 and 13 feet and infinity. The lens is an 85 mm "London Sportar" with shutter speeds 1/25, 1/50 and 1/100 of a second and B; apertures f/11, f/16 and f/22. It takes 8 on 120.  These are not the settings we would use nowadays for sports photos.

Apparently, Truvox's main business was manufacture of tape recorders and loudspeakers.
