Wren

Always something new to see! Apart from short spells away from home, (studying, travelling, etc) I have lived all my life within a short walk of this burn. Today, I saw something I've never witnessed before, a wren taking a bath in a river. This little thing clung onto the twig for all it was worth, while ducking and splashing and thrashing around in the water. At one point it was so bedraggled, that I began to wonder if it was in trouble, but no, once satisfied that bath-time had been served, it flew away quite happily.
