The Bear In My Heart

Chihero is an American Akita. Akitas are often called bears by the families… Ironic as they are the descendants of the bear hunting dogs of the snowy Akita Prefecture of northern Japan. My sweet girl celebrated her tenth trip around the sun earlier this month, a milestone birthday that reminds me that even more so, I must cherish each romp in the snow and cuddle by the fire, to bank against the day when she is gone across the rainbow bridge. She will always have a very special place in my heart. ❤️
