Young Magpie

A pair of Magpies have been nesting in a fir tree at the bottom of my garden. The chicks fledged some weeks ago and the juveniles are frequent visitors to the grass under my bird feeders - they pick up the remnants of the seeds dropped by the messy greenfinches.

This is one of the youngsters sitting on my fence.
