New Developments

The original settlement in Liverpool was, of course, along the Mersey. Later buildings reflected the fact that those wanting work at the docks needed to live nearby so that they could get a favourable place in the daily queues for work. Of course, the Merchants had houses a little further out and later (some) suburbs were built and then a "ring" of council housing on the outside. These days much of the development seems to be in and around the disused warehouses. A view of the river seems to be a pre-requisite.
