Rookery

At last - the Sun!  The Rooks are particularly busy at the moment  -  getting ready for mating I expect. More about their breeding habits HERE!  The trees I've blipped skirt a railway line, and some that had housed a Rookery were cut down a few years ago  -  probably because they were affecting the railway line, or nearby householders had complained about their noise.  The Rooks never formed another Rookery there even though a few trees were left standing. This is the first year I have seen them back in such numbers  -  it would be great if they formed a new Rookery this year! Probably people living in houses nearby wouldn't agree, of course!
