Articule - Art gallery

This is a nice little art gallery in my neighbourhood. This month until early-August it features Christian Bujold a painter who "reflects on the confrontation between public space and private space, and on the physical and psychological boundaries that make them". Instead of having a window displaying the art of the artist, wooden panels have been installed for him to paint "a hyperrealistic representation of the space inside". I will picture more as the painting progresses.

I also like that I contrasted my photograph to also look like a painting rather than a photo. What is real what is not, the boundaries are frequently crossed over in our times. For example in an increase of books where real stories are interwoven with fictional ones. The same can be seen in current movies (Abraham Lincoln and vampires) and the methods of making them (blending real shots or characters with animation). I guess we live in a time where real is hard to differienciate with unreal, content with its representation, truth with untruth.

An interesting artistic discussion to continue...
