Life through the lens...

Emergency Abstract

We have spent the day in Leeds with friends, and I forgot my camera!
F did take a few photos on her phone, but can't send them to me!
So racked my brain for an abstract photo.
Most rubbish until I took this one of the door curtain. Faffed a bit, and using " Heat Map" on Picasa this is today's Blip.

What an enjoyable day we have had.
In the morning we went to the pictures (cinema to you young ones!)
The one in the Trinity Centre. Very posh! Comfy double armchairs!
We loved the new Star Wars film. Brought back so many memories of when we took our two boys to see it.  All the old characters.
C-3PO,  Chewbacca, and of course Harrison Ford, and Carrie Fisher.
They even had the old space ships, which our two had as toys, and remember the Darth Vader mask too!
Fantastic action shots.
That wonderful music by John Williams.
A great film!

Then we took our friends for a late lunch to Leeds' oldest pub, Whitelock's Ale House.
A brief history on the back of the menu says:
" Established 1715. 300 years old ( that's older than America!)"
They loved it. J said the beer was superb. He had 2 pints and would have had more, but they had to catch the train home.

Also showed them the arcades, which they hadn't seen before.
We may go back and have a guided tour round The City Varieties later in the year.
