In 2005, PHS began as three men trying to manage and restore to pre-European condition an overgrown, neglected, 1500 acre newly designated conservation property in central Florida.  One of us had a wildlife management degree and the experience of being a third generation farming family;  another a State of Florida prescribed fire certification and a mission to restore the property.  Equipment and people were added as necessary, and our neighbors began to ask us to do their habitat work for them. 

Over the years we have grown into a multi faceted company that can manage any type of natural habitat. Since conservation was our original mission, combined with quail and wildlife management, environmental sensitivity has a high priority with our company.  Our clients include Federal, State, County, and municipal governments who regularly use our services for wetlands management, our roller chopping, and our prescribed fire expertise.  We offer very low impact timber thinning as a specialty;  high public use government properties and conservation minded private landowners benefit from this service.  We offer a complete commercial logging service for silvicultural harvesting. Private landowners, conservation groups, and utility companies are particularly interested in prescribed fire, right of way maintenance, and timber thinning.  Private land owners often need forestry management plans to satisfy tax requirements, and we do this.  In fact, all of the above can be rolled into the phrase “habitat management”, and that is what we do, with great pride.
