MGM's lion

This evening my son and I were off to the MGM Grand to see a Cirque de Soleil performance called Ka. It was truly entertaining and some of the acrobatics were astonishing. While there we received a text from my daughter-in-law to say that the Strip was completely closed down to traffic following a gun incident at the Bellagio fountains. It turned out to be a lone gunman who had been brandishing a gun amongst the crowd; someone naturally called the police and a couple of shots were fired. All a bit scary if you were close by but annoying for us as my son and I had been going to head to the fountains for some night time photography. Instead we battled our way through the traffic mayhem and headed for home.
