Keeping cosy!

Up to the lambing shed this lunchtime to get some more straw for the hens nesting box.  Can't have chilly chickens!

These ewes and lambs have been well bedded down to keep them cosy with the threat of Storm Gertrude on her way . . . Tried to get a shot of this lamb struggling to get to its feet, fighting its way out of its nice warm bed!  Such a bad year for barley this year, with the endless rain and wind, that trailer loads of straw have had to be imported from further south.  Luckily Ian can spare me a sackful for the hens every so often!

Keep those hatches well battened down!
