At The Fat Tui

Our last full day at Kaiteriteri.... Keith is here from Blenheim and we had a busy day packing up some of our gear and generally socializing. This evening we drove over to Marahau for a meal at New Zealand's best ever Burger cafe. It is called The Fat Tui named after one of New Zealand's iconic birds the Tui. There, sitting outdoors, as all customers do, were friends of ours from Blenheim. They were all at the next table and we had some hilarious chit-chat before they finished their meals and departed. Alex cycled from his and Hannah's property to join us for our delicious burger meal. Hannah was working late at the Marahau Information Centre but she cycled to the cafe to say hello just before we departed for Kaiteriteri. By the way the burgers are surely the best I have ever eaten!
