Intriguing Church in Penicuik

Had an appointment in Penicuik today so thought I would walk back cross-country via the Penicuik Estate. Sadly the rain started just about this point (would love to pop inside sometime - it seems wonderfully gothic/ornate), and by the time I got home almost 2 hours later I was completely soaked - every item of clothing had to go into the machine for a spin before I could contemplate drying them. 


In other news, despite the AMEY folk coming back out last night to pump out the flooding, it's back again - it clearly needs some serious work & with Gertude on her merry way, I can only imagine what it'll be like tomorrow....
