Trip to the Museum

Nipped back to the Jet Age Museum this morning to pick up a book a friend left there for me as he thought I'd be interested in it. Called 'Flying Years', by C.H.Keith. Canadian born it is the story of his RAF career which started in 1915 with the Royal Naval Air Service. Much of his career was spent in the Middle East which is why my friend, Mike Fortescue, passed it on to me.
The photo is a model of the Gloster Whittle E28/39, the first ever allied jet to fly. A full scale replica of the aircraft is behind and in the extra photograph, with Lennon in 2011.
