Bird count

We took part in the RSPB annual garden bird count this morning.  As usually happens, there were quite a few birds around until the second we decided to start the count when everything immediately fled!

It didn't feel like there were many birds around but by the end of the hour we were surprised to realise we had actually seen 9 different species (including this female Redpoll).
