Learning day by day

A book, hot chocolate and happy boy

He has been testing to say the least this week, but this morning he worked really well at his violin lesson and as we needed shelter from the rain, I treated him to a hot chocolate, he read his book (Stink Moody and the Midnight Zombie Walk). Carys was at home finishing homework with Daddy.

We walked home. After some (very) silly behaviour, I decided not to book the roller disco at Letchworth as it wasn't clear we would actually get there. As it was we got there but they had just sold out. A lesson learnt you would think, but I am not entirely sure...

So back home C read most of her second book of the day. She is devouring the Gothgirl books. Easy reading I guess after the Secret Garden. Will went to his room for some thinking time and was later found curled up reading The Faraway Tree. :-)

N&P arrived to take W for his first sleep over. He was excited but also a little nervous. I have no doubt he will be fine.

C & I went for a run, with the plan to stretch together afterwards. That was somewhat scuppered when she ate the path and ended up with holes in her top, tights, knee and both palms! We both ended up frozen walking home, the last half mile.

Hot bath later we all had Chinese takeaway and ice cream for pudding. She is very excited over tomorrow, a trip to London and a back stage tour of the ROH. Ahh, don't tell her, but I am excited too.
