The Lily

It was very interesting going around our garden this morning and observing the changes that have occurred in my absence on holiday. Keith has done a good job keeping the irrigation up to date in parts of the garden and watering my pot plants both outdoors and indoors. Recent rain has greened up the lawn. The downside of the rain is fact the weeds have flourished. I have a lot of work ahead of me. A bonus was the stunning lily that is flowering in a pot outdoors. The bulb was a birthday gift from friend Rachel.
We collected Maisie the Labradoodle from the boarding kennels at Koromiko this afternoon. She was very excited to see us. We straight away drove to the Taylor Dam to take her for a longish walk to work off some of her energy.,she is a delight....so funny! She is now trying to befriend the cats. Morris is tolerant but Amelia takes no nonsense. Molly keeps a wide berth.
Duncan and Mei stayed here last night. Early this morning they drove off for a tramping trip to Sawcut Gorge and then to the mountain hut on Isolated Hill, south Marlborough. I hope they have good weather.....
