Lock mechanism

It was really rather pleasant weather today and I even managed to potter in the garden for a while. I tidied up some pots that had been left to die back and picked up all the litter that had blown in (where do all  the crisp packets and Mcdonald boxes come from?)
After giving blood I popped down to the canal and noticed the intricacies of the lock mechanism. Everything looked so vibrant with the sun out.
