Olympic torch

Brownies this evening was very exciting. We had a torch bearer visit with his torch and a lady come to talk to the girls about the opening ceremony which she is involved in. Lots of excited brownies wanting to hold the torch for photo ops, however I had to use this one due to being unable to publish their pics without parental consent.

The torch is much lighter than you'd think. Interestingly the gas cylinder is removed before the torch bearers are allowed to bring it home so it can never be lit again.
