'Cukd ' - a very mixed up duck.

Well, I am a year older today although probably no wiser.  We have travelled across to Wales where we are going to mark the occasion this evening with a  six course gourmet meal and a night in a lovely hotel.

On the local lake we found this rather mixed up duck which appears to be a cross between a pochard and a tufted duck.  Instead of the brown head of the pochard or the black head of the tufty it has a metallic purple. The beak is much more from the tufty alone. It's certainly not one that you will find in any book!
