red-lored parrots

There were more birds about yesterday, because apparently they love to come out in damp, drizzly weather, but today the light is much better for photographing them. I was lucky to get this pair of red-lored parrots (one of seven species found at Tikal, and one of five that I saw), both sitting in full sunshine.

And yes, these were wild birds at the top of a tree, not someone's pets!
