Mr. Hummer

There is much bird hanky panky going on outside. Despite the tiny size of the hummingbirds, they are among the noisiest and most active. My regional bird guide describes their sounds like this: "Loud chip note. Song dry, rasping, delivered year around from an exposed perch. Various squeaks, buzzes, chattering sounds in courtship, territorial defense." (Birds of the Willamette Valley Region)
I'm happy to have such neighbors!
