First dance shoes

The big child has been moved up to premier (top) grade in highland dance. She's 8. Up until this point she has been in grades where medals are given for placings however now she will be dancing for cash (sadly not enough to pay for more than a few buttons on a dance jacket).

So today I've hauled out the box I have kept 4 years worth of dance memorabilia and taken down countless medals from the walls to finally put them all nicely displayed together in folders. I've been at it for 7 hours.

And still there are more.

Now the medals I hunt for have never been put up on a wall. The past year's worth we have never taken out of the bags in which they came home in. But that's tomorrow's task.

Tonight's photo (taken very late so lacking in both quality and lighting) is of the hole she wore through her very first wee pair of dance pumps. Not sure too many 5 year olds can claim this...
