Sunday walk

Taking the dogs for a walk together is always a challenge. Angus the aussie terrier is keen, very keen. He is interested in everything, and wants to see it all - now! He strains at the leash, and is not always receptive to instructions such as 'heel', 'sit', or 'come'. As the walk progresses, Angus calms down.

Belle, the tibetan terrier x, on the other hand is timid. She is pleased for a walk, and likes to be with us and Angus. But if things look too scary, she sits down - firmly. She has no real need of a lead, unless it is to encourage her past scary things. She is getting better about walking on the pavement beside the road, and always pleased to be with people.

So the Sunday walk started with tension, but ended peacefully and included a caffeine break at Ruby's.
