Stained glass panel, about 1910

This piece of stained glass brought back many memories of the family home I lived in for about 50 years. The top pane of glass in all the sash windows was very similar to this piece I saw this morning in the Art Galleries. Many houses in the drive have had the glass incorporated in the new double glazed windows.

The info from the galleries ... 'Stained glass production gradually flourished in Glasgow from 1850, and by 1900 there were several workshops in the city. They supplied the expanding domestic market and churches.'

Thanks to my good friend and fellow blipper Helpet57 for sharing her extensive knowledge and giving L and me a personal guided tour.
