Park City Historic Miners Hospital

We are in Park City, Utah, and have been exploring some of the local history.

The early silver miners needed a local hospital, finding the 50km trip to Salt Lake City a hardship.  In 1904 this hospital was built. It was used for medical purposes until the 1950's.  Since then it has variously served as a house bar, skier dormitory, youth hostel, and in 1982, it was renovated as a public library.

Since 1993 it has served as a community centre.

Registered as an historic place, it looked splendid today in the +1C sunshine.

There's a closer shot of the old building in extras, and an interesting piano on its verandah.
