Waitangi Day

Today is our national holiday - Waitangi Day.

For years I would normally go and celebrate the holiday at Whakarewarewa Maori Village. One of a handful of Maori villages around Rotorua.

But this year the day had dawned very wet and overcast, so it has been more of a lazy day at home, except for a walk in the forest.
