ruddy ground-doves

This was a travelling day, from Chaa Creek in the Cayo district on the west of Belize, to Placencia on the east coast. The scenery along the so-called 'hummingbird highway' (named for the steam trains that used to take the sugar cane to the coast, I understand) was great but we didn't stop, so the only pictures I took this day were the early morning birds at Chaa Creek, including these ruddy ground-doves.
