Grand Opening

Today was the launch of the Ryan Institute, here in NUI Galway, which researches on the environment, marine science and energy. The launch was by Máire Geaghegan-Quinn, European Commissioner for Research and was attended by the Minister for Communications, the Marine and Natural Resources, Mr Pat Rabitte and sundry other politicians, researchers, industry types and even representatives of the Defence Forces.
